Step‑By‑Step Instructions

Step 1 — Prepare the Base

Step 1 - Prepare base

Cut the base panel to 24" × 30". Ensure edges are square and the surface is flat.


Step 2 — Install the Runners

Step 2 - Install runners

Cut two runners to ¾" × ⅜" × 24". Fit them snugly in the miter slots, then secure the base on top using glue and countersunk screws.


Step 3 — Attach the Front Fence

Step 3 - Front fence

Install the front fence to stabilize the sled. This fence does not need to be perfectly square.


Step 4 — Attach the Rear Fence

Step 4 - Rear fence

Clamp the tall rear fence in place. Use the 5‑cut method to square it perfectly before securing with screws.


Step 5 — Cut the Zero‑Clearance Kerf

Step 5 - Kerf cut

Run the sled through the blade slowly to create a clean zero‑clearance kerf.


Step 6 — Add Optional Safety & Features

Step 6 - Safety features

Add a kerf shield, wax the runners, and install a stop block if desired.
